Kerry and Bradley's awesome FUN wedding at Country Ways in North Devon - May 11th 2019

When I first met Kerry and Bradley over a coffee to show them a portfolio of my work the key word’s they had in mind when planning their wedding was fun and relaxed , and it did not disappoint . They chose the perfect wedding venue to create such a vibe , the beautiful Country Way’s at High Bickington . Its been a good couple of years since I have been to this little gem and as I walked down the path , the view that hits you of the stunning Devon countryside is one you dont ever quite forget and as soon as I saw it again I was reminded of why I love this venue . It was good to be back ! The sun was shining , the birds were singing and there was a hive of activity happening ready for me to document . Because the venue has self catering cottages all dotted within a few feet of each other meant I could potter about and catch a bit of everything- the groom and his trusty men were zipping about making last minute touches to setting up , the bride and her bridesmaids in one cottage having hair and make up done. Someone outside sat at a table with a coffee making tweaks to their speech . The florist arriving with gorgeous floral arrangements . With everything in one place meant I could witness everything and tell a reflective story of their day through photography .

The groom originally is from Australia , and so there were little tributes all around to his home country - australian sweets bought over from Oz by family for the sweet table. An australian themed photo booth area, decorated with australian flags and sign’s. Australian temporary tattoo’s for guests to decorate themselve’s with and australian inflatable animals to pose with. Both friend’s and family had travelled from all over the world and there was so much enjoyment from everyone being together on such a special day . The energy from everyone was fabulous and they were all so interactive for photos :) Kerry’s nan , bless her heart held a tissue to her face the whole of the ceremony which melted my heart she was so emotional . where ever I pointed my camera all day there was fun, laughter , emotions and happiness. every turn I took there was a photo opportunity= magic !

The element of fun came in heavily with the addition of an awesome white bouncy castle for both adult’s and children to enjoy , this made for some fantastic photo’s . Kerry and Bradley’s pet dogs may also have made a quick appearance later in the day . After the first dance we were lucky to get some lovely light for the last final shots of the bride and groom - what a day!
