Ellie & Charlie – An Outdoor Celebration Full of Sunshine and Soul
What a wedding. Ellie and Charlie… bravo.
They actually booked me after seeing me in action at another wedding, which is always such a compliment — and I’m so glad they did. From the moment we met a couple of months before the day and they talked me through their plans, I knew exactly the kind of atmosphere they were hoping to create.
Thankfully, the sun shone and everything fell into place just as they had imagined.
The entire day took place outdoors — ceremony, dining, speeches… everything. You all know how much I love an outdoor celebration, and this one really delivered. Even the first dance (and the start of the party) ended up happening outside after a slightly last-minute decision, and honestly, it made the atmosphere even better.
Although Ellie and Charlie had legally married a few days earlier in a very intimate ceremony, this was their larger celebration — and it still included a beautiful ceremony shared with all their favourite people.
The whole day had a European feel to it. The style and setting gave subtle Italian wedding vibes, with limoncello shots flowing during the speeches. Dinner had the essence of Spain, with paella served to guests, and as the evening unfolded it shifted into full Ibiza energy, with Lucy Harvey Sax setting the tone before Stephen Panter carried the party into the night. It all made perfect sense once you know how much these two love to travel.
What really stood out, though, was just how loved and respected Ellie and Charlie are. You could feel it in every interaction. After spending the day with them, it’s easy to see why. They are warm, fun and completely wrapped up in each other. The way they look at one another, the way they naturally connect — it’s effortless and it’s genuine.
Chris (North Summit Films & Photography) joined me as second photographer, and as always we worked as a team — and their friends and family couldn’t have been more welcoming to us both, which never goes unnoticed. So a big thank you to everyone.
And I have to mention Dougie.
The most well-behaved ring bearer… eventually. After a slightly off-course start down the aisle, he suddenly appeared like a rocket, delivering the rings with just as much enthusiasm as everyone else had for the day. He stole the show, caused a few giggles, and was clearly very proud of his role.
Days like this are such a reminder of why I love what I do — sunshine, travel-inspired touches, incredible food, music that carries you into the evening, and couples who are completely themselves.

Jeven and Payton celebrated their incredible wedding day at Beaconside Country Estate — and what a day it was.
I know they’re eagerly watching their inbox, waiting for that gallery delivery email to arrive. So, to keep them on their toes just a little longer, I thought I’d share a small preview of what’s to come. Not long now…
From the very beginning, the love between these two was something truly special to witness. Effortless, warm and completely genuine — the kind of connection that makes my job feel like a privilege. They were complete naturals in front of the camera, trusting every suggestion and embracing every moment without hesitation. That level of trust means everything, and I’m so grateful for it.
Spending the day around them — and their wonderful family and friends — was an absolute tonic. There’s something so uplifting about a couple who are completely themselves, who laugh easily and hold each other close in the quiet in-between moments.
And given that they live just down the road… I have a feeling this won’t be the last time our paths cross.
Speaking of “our” — my husband Chris joined me as second photographer on the day. We work seamlessly together (though I like to think of us as equals!), and I truly couldn’t do it without him. Having that shared understanding and calm presence makes such a difference to how the day flows.
It was also a pleasure to work alongside some incredibly talented suppliers — both familiar faces and some lovely new connections. Collaboration like this is what makes wedding days so special.
