Hannah and Dempster - Millbrook Estate Elopement, North Devon

If there were ever two people who truly embrace a carefree kind of love, it’s these two.— it’s Hannah and Dempster.

From the moment the day began at Millbrook Estate, there was so much connection and joy between them. They laughed a lot and had that lovely calm feeling of two people who just know they’ve found their person.

Elopements have a lovely way of slowing everything down. Without the noise of a big crowd, the day feels really personal and relaxed. Hannah and Dempster completely embraced that.— completely present, completely themselves. And I loved my time with them so much.

Watching them together made my heart very happy.

One of my favourite parts of the day was hearing afterwards that the portrait session — the part Hannah admitted she had been slightly dreading — became one of the highlights. That means more than I can say. When couples relax, trust the process and simply lean into each other, that’s when the magic happens.

They later wrote:

“Just wanted to say a massive thank you for all you have done.
Our photos are absolutely wonderful! You’ve captured all the most important moments of our day so beautifully and we are so happy we get to relive it through the pictures.
I was definitely dreading the photo session but you were so fun and relaxed (& on our wavelength) that it actually turned out to be one of the highlights of the day.
You bring a lot of joy to many people’s lives I’m sure. Wishing you all the very best!”

Hannah and Dempster — thank you for trusting me with your story. Your love is joyful, what a privilege it was to capture it.

Jeven & Payton | Beaconside Country Estate Wedding

Jeven and Payton celebrated their incredible wedding day at Beaconside Country Estate — and what a day it was.

I know they’re eagerly watching their inbox, waiting for that gallery delivery email to arrive. So, to keep them on their toes just a little longer, I thought I’d share a small preview of what’s to come. Not long now…

From the very beginning, the love between these two was something truly special to witness. Effortless, warm and completely genuine — the kind of connection that makes my job feel like a privilege. They were complete naturals in front of the camera, trusting every suggestion and embracing every moment without hesitation. That level of trust means everything, and I’m so grateful for it.

Spending the day around them — and their wonderful family and friends — was an absolute tonic. There’s something so uplifting about a couple who are completely themselves, who laugh easily and hold each other close in the quiet in-between moments.

And given that they live just down the road… I have a feeling this won’t be the last time our paths cross.

Speaking of “our” — my husband Chris joined me as second photographer on the day. We work seamlessly together (though I like to think of us as equals!), and I truly couldn’t do it without him. Having that shared understanding and calm presence makes such a difference to how the day flows.

It was also a pleasure to work alongside some incredibly talented suppliers — both familiar faces and some lovely new connections. Collaboration like this is what makes wedding days so special.
